Most financial tools online are built for Americans. My Maple Math exists because Canadians deserve calculators that actually get the math right.
If you've ever used an American mortgage calculator to estimate your Canadian mortgage payment, you've gotten the wrong answer. Canadian mortgages are legally required to use semi-annual compounding — not monthly like in the US. The difference sounds small, but on a $600,000 mortgage it adds up to thousands of dollars over your amortization period.
The same problem exists across the board. Most compound interest calculators don't handle Canadian GIC compounding correctly. Most tax estimators use American brackets. Most retirement calculators don't know what a TFSA or RRSP is.
My Maple Math was built to fix that. Every calculator on this site uses the formulas that Canadian lenders, the CRA, and Canadian financial institutions actually use — not approximations borrowed from American tools.
Every calculator has been verified against official Canadian sources — TD Bank, CMHC, the CRA, and published financial formulas. Here's what makes our calculators distinctly Canadian:
Every tool on My Maple Math is free, requires no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser. Your numbers never leave your device.
Always free. My Maple Math will always be free to use. No paywalls, no premium tiers, no subscription required.
No data collection. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of the numbers you enter. Everything runs in your browser.
Kept up to date. Tax brackets, TFSA limits, CMHC rates, and stress test thresholds change. We update our calculators when Canadian rules change so you're always working with current numbers.
Canada-specific. We will never add an American calculator to this site. Every tool is built specifically for how Canadian mortgages, taxes, and registered accounts actually work.
Found an error in one of our calculators? Have a suggestion for a new tool? We want to hear from you. Accuracy matters and we take every report seriously.
